Quote quantity

How CircuitHub selects and adjusts the priced quantity breaks available for a project.

CircuitHub prices a set of quantity breaks rather than every possible quantity. This keeps quotes responsive and reflects how boards are panelized and parts are purchased at higher volumes.

The standard quantity ladder is:

  • 1–100 boards: increments of 1
  • 110–1,000 boards: increments of 10
  • 1,100–10,000 boards: increments of 100

The project page only offers quantity breaks that have a valid price for the current project. A BOM, sourcing, or board constraint may therefore make some standard breaks unavailable.

If you type a quantity that is not currently priced, CircuitHub selects the nearest available quantity break. It does not always round upward. For example:

  • 563 selects 560 when both 560 and 570 are available.
  • 1,001 selects 1,000 when both 1,000 and 1,100 are available.
  • If the requested quantity is exactly halfway between two available breaks, CircuitHub selects the higher break.

Use the quantity stepper or arrow keys to move directly between adjacent priced breaks. The quote and available ship dates update for the selected quantity.
