Supported design tools
An overview of the EDA design tools CircuitHub currently supports for project import.
We read the native design files of Altium and KiCad, and the exports of Fusion 360. For any other design tool, upload an ODB++ or IPC-2581 export: most professional tools, including Cadence Allegro and OrCAD and Siemens Xpedition and PADS, can write at least one of them.
We are often asked why we do not accept Gerber files on their own. To optimise the manufacturing process we rely on information in your design data that Gerber files do not carry, such as the parts, their footprints and where each one is placed. You can find a more detailed answer here. Gerber files are still welcome alongside an ODB++ or IPC-2581 export: the board is then made from your Gerber files, and the export supplies the parts.
