Supported design tools
An overview of the EDA design tools CircuitHub currently supports for project import.
Right now, we support Altium, KiCAD, IPC-2581, and Cadence Allegro / OrCAD. We have plans to expand support for many other design tools, but we do not have a specific timeline on this yet.
We frequently get asked why we do not accept Gerber files instead of other tools that we don't yet support. The simple answer is that in order to optimise the manufacturing process, we rely on information contained in the EDA files, which is not exported in the gerbers.
