How to lock your projects

You can lock a project at its current quote and pricing for up to 30 days, giving you time to finalize your internal processes without worrying about pricing fluctuations.

What happens when you lock a project?

When you select Lock quote, confirm that you want to lock the quote:

• The price and associated business days for manufacturing your boards are frozen for up to 30 days.
• You will not be able to make any edits to your project. This includes:
  • Changing BOM lines
  • Modifying board specifications
  • Editing firmware

What stays fixed vs what can change?

• Fixed:

  • Pricing
  • Manufacturing business days needed to assemble and ship your boards

• Not fixed:

  • Calendar delivery dates

For example:

If today your shortest delivery estimate is 20 June, locking the quote will fix the business days needed.

But if you come back tomorrow, the earliest available calendar delivery date will shift by at least one day (e.g. 21 June), depending on weekends, holidays, or production capacity.

What if you need to make changes?

You can unlock the project at any time by selecting Unlock quote and confirming the action. This will:

• Allow you to make changes to your project
• Automatically requote the project based on current availability and pricing
