How to prepare and ship circuit boards back to us for RMAs

Step-by-step instructions for packaging, labeling, and shipping circuit boards back to CircuitHub for an RMA.

  1. Initiate the RMA Process:

    • Navigate to the issue's tab on the order page to create an RMA. Provide all necessary details and follow any specific instructions provided by our team you might have received.
  2. Packaging Materials:

    • It's acceptable to utilize the box and bubble wrap that your order came in for returns if needed. However, if you opt not to our box, ensure to inform our team about the dimensions and weight of your package for the shipping label.
  3. RMA Form Placement:

    • Print out two copies of the RMA form provided by CircuitHub.
    • Place one copy inside the box containing the boards.
    • Affix the other copy securely on the outside of the box.
    • Having the RMA form both inside and outside ensures easy identification and processing of your return.
  4. Protective Measures:

    • Wrap the boards in pink/blue anti-static bubble wrap. Regular clear/white bubble may cause ESD damage.

    • Additionally, it's critical to enclose the boards in an ESD shielded bag. Without a shielded bag, we can no longer guarantee the functionality of the product due to the ESD damage that will certainly be caused during transit.

  5. Packaging Labeling:

    • Indicate clearly on the packaging that it contains an RMA. This step is not necessary if the RMA paperwork is already securely attached to the exterior of the box.
  6. Communication and Updates:

    • Keep an eye on any messages or notifications on the issues tab from CircuitHub's production team. Promptly respond to any inquiries or requests for information to facilitate the RMA process smoothly.
  7. Additional Boards:

    • If you need to send additional boards or parts, notify CircuitHub's team as soon as possible to coordinate the return efficiently and prevent delays.

Following these instructions will ensure that your circuit boards are packaged securely and in compliance with CircuitHub's guidelines for RMAs. This will help expedite the processing of your return and ensure the safe transit of your valuable electronic assemblies.
