Minimum pad to pad or copper to pad clearance

The absolute minimum is 3-mil gap between copper. 4-mil is preferable to 3, and 5-mil is even better because at 4-mil and 3-mil we can't lay down any soldermask if it's a pad. At 5-mil we can at least put a soldermask sliver in-between.
